Herman J. Walker

Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 in the Wilson Cemetery for Herman J. Walker, 83, of Newark who passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 in Newark following an extended illness. He was born August 22, 1939 in Newark, the son of the late Herman and Zella (Reber) Walker.

He worked for 43 years at the Holophane Corporation, Newark, and enjoyed gardening and tinkering on things, as well as babysitting and caring for his grandson.

He is survived by his loving family: son William J. Walker of Newark, grandson Sebastian Bell, his sisters Candy and Wanda and his brother Butch.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Anna Rose Walker in 2020 and his daughter Christy Bell in 2022, along with his brother Wilbur and sisters Carolyn and Patricia.
