Hilma G. Timmons, 97 of Granville, formerly of Kirkersville, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2020 at the Middelton Senior Living in Granville after an extended illness. She was born in Outville on August 3, 1923, the daughter of the late Curtis and Faye (Haynes) Wells. She was a 1941 graduate of Union H.S. prior to consolidation to Granville Schools. She worked for a short time at the Ohio Power Company, Licking County Licenses Bureau and the Aladdin Restaurant in Granville. She was a very dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She couldn’t say enough about her grandkids and great grandkids. Hilma was a very active member of the Kirkersville United Methodist Church, Mothers Club and Parent Teachers Association. She is survived by her loving family: Sons Steve (Lois), Robin (Anita); her five grandchildren: Travis (Stacy) Timmons, Trent (Erica) Timmons, Chad (Paula) Timmons, Angela (Charlie) Dutton and Wade (Amy) Timmons; along with her 13 great- grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years Robert C. Timmons and her two sisters Maxine Wright and Harriett Messick. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Kendall and Middelton of Granville, along with Hospice of Central Ohio for their loving care of Hilma.
