Howard Eugene Conners, Sr.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Howard Eugene Conners, Sr., age 82 of Hebron, will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Cory Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens with military honors observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Howard was born in Newark on January 22, 1935 to the late John Clarence and Ica Mae (Brown) Conners. He passed away on January 7, 2018 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. Howard proudly served his country in the United States Army, in the 83rd Infantry Division. He worked for Roper Corporation for 22 years and retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas with 21 years of service. Survivors include his loving wife, Eula Louise (Roberts) Conners; children, Howard E. (Anita Kay) Conners, Jr., Mark A. (Mary) Conners, Debbie (Mark) Shaw, Constance (Ray) Steed, Melissa S. (Tom) Miller and Melinda L. Conners; siblings, Wanda S. Trost, Barbara A. Smith, Charles L. Conners, Dwight E. Conners, and Herbert J. (Carlina) Conners; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Eric E. Conners.
