Ilene P. Snyder

A funeral service celebrating the life of Ilene P. Snyder, 74, of Etna, will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Romeo Velasco officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Ilene was born in Traverse City, Michigan on April 22, 1944 to the late Clarence and Jeanette (Denune) Eing. She passed away at her residence on May 13, 2018 while surrounded by her loving family. Prior to retirement, she was a fraud investigator with Discover Card. She enjoyed flower gardening, vegetable gardening, feeding her birds and spending time with her family, especially doting on her grandchildren. Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Harold W. Snyder, whom she married June 30, 1962; children, Patricia A. (Bradley) Barnhart and Joe (Melanie) Snyder; siblings, Don Eing, Kathy (Tim) Smedley and Janie (Mike) Totman; grandchildren, Matthew (Courtney), Joey, Joshua and Logan; great grandchildren, Brooke and Hunter; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Snyder; brother-in-law, Jon (Lorraine) Snyder; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert Eing; sister, Mildred Rose Shaw; sister-in-law, Rita Eing; brothers-in-law, Paul Snyder and Ronnie Shaw.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ilene to Mount Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215.Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Ilene and the Snyder family.
