Irma Elaine Watkins

A memorial service celebrating the life of Irma Elaine Watkins, age 72, of Heath, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Kirkpatrick officiating. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Irma was born November 23, 1951 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Chester Milton and Irma Elizabeth (Lavender) Fox. She passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Licking Memorial Hospital.

Irma retired from Heritage Sportswear in Hebron where she was employed as a customer service representative. She was a member of Spring Hills Baptist Church in Granville. Irma enjoyed water aerobics at the YMCA, adult coloring, and trips to the beach. She was known for sending out many greeting cards to people each year for birthdays and holidays.

She is survived by her loving husband, William A. Watkins; brothers, Chester William (Linda) Fox and Charles Robert (Coleen) Fox, all of Newark, and Gerald Lee Lavender of Cardington; sister, Sharon Kay (John) Wallace of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.
