Jackie passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020, at her home in Lancaster. She was born November 18, 1951 in Plain City, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Joy (Sagraves) Van Houten. She was a graduate of Columbus West H.S., class of 1970.
Jackie didn’t know a stranger. She was a kind soul with a lot of spunk. Jackie had a love for flowers, decorating her home, giving to others and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies included shopping, going to garage sales, thrifting and her favorite: a good meal at Red Lobster.
She is survived by her loving family: her daughter Leigh (Ken Smith) Bias, her sister Kathy Beer, her brother Roger Van Houten, her nieces and nephews Lil Rog (Stacey) Van Houten, Andi (Mark) Smith, Kayla (Tyler Baker) Beer; her great nieces and nephews: Talisha, Demi, Marki, Dani, Cami, T.J., Michael, Tatum and Dominic; along with her special friend Kenny Boggs, and faithful canine companion Zoi, who was with her at her death.
In Lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Fairfield Co. Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
