James A. Coate

James A. Coate, 65, of Thornville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center in Newark. He was born on March 27, 1949 in Middletown, Ohio son of the late Charles and Jane (Fink) Coate. A carpenter by trade, James was also a skilled artist. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid fisherman.He is survived by his loving family: Wife, Pamela ne Miller Coate; son, Daniel (Heather) Coate; daughter, Tina (Jason) Coate Perkins; five grandchildren: Emilia, Tyler, Amanda, Avery, and Nathan; two brothers, Steven (Dede) Coate and Thomas (Sharon) Coate; several nieces and nephews; as well as four brothers-in-law.In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Dave.A celebration of James life will be held at the convenience of the family, at a later date.The family requests memorial contributions in James name be made to: Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058-9909.Online condolences may be sent to: www.hoskinsonfuneral.comHOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, Thornville, is honored to care for the Coate Family.
