James “Jim” Barnett, age 67, of Thornville, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Morrison House in Zanesville.
Jim was born March 27, 1954 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. He was employed for 25 years in autobody repair and restoration. In 2014 he retired from Alvis House in Columbus where he was employed in maintenance. Jim was a member of the Buckeye Lake Moose. He enjoyed boating, camping, anything to do with automobiles and racing, and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns. Jim truly enjoyed the time spent with his Campers Grove family sitting around the campfire chatting and having a PBR.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Michelle Barnett; sister-in-law Bobbie Buchieri of Whitehall; nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Crystal Josephine “Jo” (Sines) Barnett; and his beloved furbabies, Mr. B, Katie, Callie and Morris.
At his request, there will be no service observed.
