James Arthur Blevins

James Arthur “Jim” Blevins, 73, of Millersport, passed away at Licking Memorial Hospital on February 12, 2022, while surrounded by his family. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 1, 1948 to the late Raleigh and Catherine (Davis) Blevins. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement, he worked at DSCC as an Aeronautical Engineer for over 35 years. He was an avid camper, where he served as a camp host at Dillon State Park for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and woodworking, but most important was the time he spent with his family and friends. Jim is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 50 years Patricia A. (Kinder) Blevins, whom he married December 31, 1986; his children, Cathy (Steve) Linger, Michelle (Clay) Gilmer, James Blevins Jr., Jason (Jennifer) Blevins and Jessica Blevins; sister, Melva Ferguson; brothers, Timothy (Anna) Blevins and Robin (Gina) Blevins; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Raleigh “Jen” and Chuck. Jim’s greatest grief in life was loosing his loving angel Danyell, his Daughter who he treasured. The family takes some comfort with his passing knowing that they are together again forever and always. At Jim’s request, no services will be held.
