James E. Touvell

James E. Touvell, age 93, of Newark, passed away on March 10, 2015 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born in Cambridge, Ohio on January 23, 1922 to the late Raymond and Jean Touvell.James proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Prior to retirement, he worked for Roper Corporation for 35 years. After retirement, he worked at the Starlight School. He was a member of the Moundbuilders VFW Post 1060 in Newark. He enjoyed golfing, watching sports, was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan, and especially enjoyed playing euchre, where he was champion many times.Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Delores (Ogle) Touvell, whom he married October 13, 1944; brother, Richard (Jan) Touvell; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Irene Molnar, Dwella Laughlin and Dolores Camp.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of James to Foundation For Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O.
