James F. Hartsough

A graveside funeral service, for James F. Hartsough, age 81 of Newark, will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Newark Memorial Gardens with Pastor Anthony Payton officiating.James was born on December 21, 1932 to the late Ralph C. and Kathryn (Crist) Hartsough. He passed away at Flint Ridge Nursing Home on July 8, 2014.Prior to retirement, James was a systems analyst with Owens-Corning. He was a member of the Newark Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed golfing and was a master wood-working craftsman.Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Barbara (Rector) Hartsough, whom he married on June 4, 1952; daughter, Pennie L. (Timothy) Miller of Newark; sons, Steven W. (Paula) Hartsough of Strongsville and Shawn W. (Jamie) Hartsough of Newark; grandchildren, Kristin Hartsough, Scott Hartsough, Jaime Lawson, Matt Miller, Lauren Hartsough, Samantha Hartsough and Leila Hartsough; brother, Jerry Hartsough; sisters-in-law, Rachael Lanning and Bette Scoles; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Philip L.
