James J. Jennessee, 73, of Pataskala, passed away early Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born February 17, 1948 in Steubenville, the son of the late Joseph F. and Carena L. (Miller) Jennessee. He served honorably in the US Army, during the Vietnam conflict. He retired after a long career with A.T. & T. /Lucent technologies. An active member of the Christian Bible Fellowship, he served the church as a deacon. James enjoyed amateur radio, beekeeping and was a “tinkerer” of sorts, being able to fix anything. He is survived by his loving family: wife Dana (Cumblidge) whom he married on December 26, 1969, his son Matt and his two daughters Monnie (Brad) Sager, Sarah (BJ) Allmon; his eight grandchildren Eli, Jackson, Zacharee, Elliot, Bo, Jennessa, Oscar and River; along with his brother Jeffrey. Private family services were conducted at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, Kirkersville, and burial followed in the Kirkersville Cemetery.
