James Martin “Jim” Aldag, 78, of Thornville, died March 12, 2023, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Center. He was born July 25, 1944, in Greenfield, OH to the late Ralph Earl and Gloria Jean (Bangert) Aldag. Jim was a Vietnam War Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He could fix anything and was always busy with a project. He was a man of high morals, was a friend to many, always willing to help someone in need, and he was a very practical man. He loved his family and took pride in providing for them. He enjoyed spending his free time at Buckeye Lake. He is survived by his children, William Aldag and Susan (Chad) Showalter; grandchildren, Spencer and Lucas; sister, Karen Brandon; brother, Jim (Sharon) Michael; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ann “Judy” Aldag; and brothers, Victor Wallace and Samuel Michael.
