James "Jim" H. Hopkins

A funeral service, celebrating the life of James H. “Jim” Hopkins, 84, of Newark, will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 179 Granville Street, Newark. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens. Jim was born in Corning, Ohio on November 29, 1936 to the late David R. and Phyllis (Ellis) Hopkins. He passed away at the Newark Care Center on August 23, 2021. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Prior to retirement, Jim was a machine repairman with Rockwell International for nearly 30 years. Survivors include his sons, James H. (Ruth) Hopkins, Terry L. (Chris) Hopkins, Todd K. (Della) Hopkins and Tracy J. (Darcy) Hopkins; sister, Nancy Brush; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sally (Tom) Henry; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Hopkins; a brother, Dean Hopkins; and sister, Pat Mason.
