James Richard “Jim” Jourdan, age 70, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at FairHoPe Hospice. Jim was born March 5, 1949 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Robert and Betty (Bay) Jourdan.
Jim drove truck for J&R Schugel Trucking until his retirement. He farmed, drove truck and lived in Wilkesboro, North Carolina for 20 years before returning to Ohio. Jim enjoyed being outdoors and especially loved to work in his yard.
He is survived by three brothers, Robert (Mary Jo), John (Chris) and Raymond (Kathy); a sister, Carollyn Sue (Stuart) Martin; uncle, Ralph Bay; and many cousins. He will be missed by his step-children, Debra Thrasher, Darryl Krahn, Greg Krahn, Jeff Krahn, Cheryl Finck and Cynthia Krahn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie (Lampton) Jourdan, on December 29, 2015; step-son, Timothy Krahn; step-daughter, Janet Thorpe; and sisters, Cathy Enmen and Shirley Megahey.
A graveside inurnment service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Brownsville with his sister Carollyn Sue Martin officiating.
