James Earl Lucas

James Earl Lucas, Jr. 43, of Zanesville, passed away suddenly on Tuesday evening, June 22, 2021 at his home. He was born August 23, 1977, in Columbus, the son of the late James Earl and Joyce Ann (Lester) Lucas. He was a graduate of Watkins Memorial High School, class of 1995, and owned and operated his own heating and cooling and remodeling business. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed racing and building race cars.

He is survived by his wife Lori, whom he married on Sept 6, 2012, his children Nathan Darling, Gabriel Lucas, Gwenna Hatch, Tiffany Hicks and Tonya Darling; his four grandchildren; his sisters Christina and Jennifer Lucas and his in-laws (whom he considered his parents) Rose and Willard Simpson.

Honoring James wishes, he was cremated and private services were held for the family.
