A funeral service, celebrating the life of James Joseph MacDonald, 55, of Thornville, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday April 25, 2015, at the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will follow at Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville.Jim died Wednesday morning, April 22, 2015, at his home following an extended illness. He was born January 22, 1960 in Columbus, the son of the late James and Jean MacDonald. He attended St Leos School in Columbus, and had worked for many years at the Ohio Paperboard company in Baltimore.Jim enjoyed his boat and fishing at Buckeye Lake. He was also very active in his United Steel Workers Union at Ohio Paperboard.He is survived by his wife Connie, whom he married on April 22, 1997, his children James, Josh and Stephen MacDonald, step-children Kelly, Larry and Shawn Gardner; his 15 grandchildren; brothers Brian, Eric and Mark MacDonald, sisters Sue and Lisa.
