James Albert Marietta

James Albert Marietta, age 95, of Heath, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born July 14, 1928 in Wyandotte, Michigan to the late Herbert and Cordelia (Swartz) Marietta.

Jim retired from the Newark Air Force Base in June of 1985 where he had been a Calibration Specialist. He was a member of Hebron Lodge #116 F & AM. Jim enjoyed painting with oils and was a handyman who enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by his sons, James R. (Stacie) Marietta, Thomas (Candy) Marietta, Steven (Alana) Marietta and Jeffrey (Kathy) Marietta; his daughter, Deanna (Patrick) Diller; 12 grandchildren, Jason (Lisa) Marietta, Jessika (Matt) Klingle, Andrea Marietta, Ashley (Brian) Marietta-Brown, Yvonne Smith, Amanda (Troy) Walker, Nathan (Kaylee) Marietta, Eli Marietta, Zackary (Cassidy) Marietta, Al (Becca) Marietta, Adam (Ashley) Diller, and Katie Diller; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Herbert; and two sisters, Jean and JoAnn.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 74 years, Marien Edith (Good) Marietta, whom he married February 4, 1948 and who died November 17, 2022; and by two brothers, Robert and Thomas G. Marietta; and a sister, Janice.

Honoring his wishes, there will be no service. Cremaiton arrangements were completed for the family by Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, Kirkersville.
