James David Neel

James David Neel, 87, of Millersport, passed away on July 13, 2023 at the Pickering House in Lancaster. He was born in Hebron, Ohio on March 6, 1936 to the late James Oliver and Alice M. (Dupler) Neel. Prior to retirement, James was a farmer his entire life. He enjoyed collecting antique tractors, farming and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 55 years, Carol R. (McConnell) Neel, whom he married September 14, 1968; sons, LeRoy Neel and Scott (Olivia) Neel; grandson, Christopher Neel; and many friends. In additional to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Cotterman. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in memory of James to either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Licking County Humane Society. James wishes were to be cremated and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for James and the Neel family.
