James William Roegge, 89, of Newark, died Thursday, April 28, 2022, at the Embassy of Newark. James was born June 27, 1932, in Doanville, OH to the late Charles and Violet (Hickman) Roegge. James was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He retired from Owens-Corning after 36 years of service. James was an avid hunter and loved every second of it. He is survived by his son, Jim (Sheila) Roegge; granddaughters, Sara Juntunen and Ashley (Ernie) Couch; and great grandchildren, Damyon, Baker and Quinn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Don Roegge. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 3, 2022, from 6-8 pm at the Criss-Wagner-Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street in Newark. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am at Greenlawn Cemetery in Nelsonville where military honors will be presented.
