James William Stoltz

James William Stoltz, 80, of Thornville, died Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at his home. He was born June 20, 1942, in Carthon, OH to the late Isaac Willard and Anna Mary (Decot) Stoltz.

Jim graduated in the last class to graduate from Junction High School class of 1960. He retired from the State of Ohio in 2006. After retirement he enjoyed farming and working at Lamb’s Car Wash. He frequently attended the Buckeye Lake Moose #2434. He enjoyed golfing, riding his Harley; and loved spending time with his grandchildren and his family.

He is survived by his daughters, Shari (Richie) Boring and Holli (Joey) Eversole; grandchildren, Jason (Charity) Whitmer, Ashley (Rick) Wright, Lauren (Vern Parren) Whitmer, Brian Whitmer, Emily (Brandt Linn) Boring, Joey (Katie) Eversole, Ryan (Michelle) Eversole, and Jacob Eversole; great grandchildren, Hunter, Hayden, and Hudson Wright, Walker Parren, Lane Whitmer, Mason (Lexee Pletcher) Samson, Madison Samson, Julia and Sloane Eversole, Dylan Eversole, and Braxton Watkins; great-great grandson, Hendrix Samson; sister-in-law, Ann Stoltz; step daughters, Carla (Wayne) Tucker, Carrie (Craig) Stevens, Deneen (Chris) Biechlee, Deanna Moreno, and their families; and all his friends who became family at the Buckeye Lake Moose Lodge #2434.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Stoltz; and brothers, Donald and Robert Stoltz.

Visitation will be Monday, October 17, 2022, from 4-7 PM at the Hoskinson Funeral Home in Thornville, 56 S. Main St. Thornville, where the funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM.
