James Thomas Collins, Jr.

A funeral service celebrating the life of James Thomas Collins, Jr., age 61, of Millersport, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, at the Hebron home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Jim Daugherty officiating. Burial will take place in Hebron Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, at the funeral home, 108 North Seventh Street in Hebron. Jim was born August 1, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio to the late James T. Collins, Sr. and JoAnne (Meiers) Collins. He passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark.Jim was a graduate of Lakewood High School. He was employed by Kaiser Aluminum for ten years. He was a Christian and enjoyed reading his Bible and led several people to the Lord. He loved all sports and played golf and basketball and excelled at many other sports. He was an avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes, Green Bay Packers and the Lakers. He loved fishing and to play the harmonica. He is survived by two daughters, Brandi (Dustin) Baker of Utica and Jamie Collins (Brandon Hopkins) of Marne; grandchildren, Alaina and Alexa Baker and Cason, Hailey and Brantley Hopkins; siblings, Sandra Parks of Winchester, Kentucky, Deborah Ann (Rick) Smith of Newark and Michael W. (Tammy) Collins, Sr. of Newark; nieces and nephews, Amy Lynn Turner, Gregory Scott Bonner, Michael W. Collins, Jr., Justin James Lee Collins, Traci Cornett Allen, Tiffany Cornett and Jessica Slone; and cousins too numerous to mention.
