James Franklin Triplett, Jr.

James Franklin Triplett, Jr., age 49, of Pataskala, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Licking Memorial Hospital.

James was born August 23, 1970 in Newark, Ohio to Patsy Elizabeth (Loper) Triplett of Newark and the late James Franklin Triplett, Sr.  James was a veteran of the United States Navy and served from 1989-1991. James was a teacher and worked at the Math Lab at OSU-Newark for the majority of his career. He loved coaching youth sports.

In addition to his mother, Patsy, he is survived by two sons, James F. (Stephanie) Triplett III of Utica and Jonathan Triplett (Abby Bowland) of Lancaster; daughter, Jamie (Mark) Jenkins of Newark; grandchildren, Izabella Triplett, Tylor Triplett, Colton Triplett, Mason Jenkins and Austin Jenkins; brother, Paul (Beverly) Triplett of Newark; sisters, Tammy Page and Veronda (Ron) Haworth, both of Newark; nieces and nephews; and his girlfriend, Laurie Jervis.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Triplett in 2010.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date to honor the life of James.
