James L. Tunstill

A visitation celebrating the life of James L. Tunstill, 72, of Newark, will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 179 Granville Street, Newark. James was born in Newark, Ohio on November 2, 1948 to the late Elijah Gaston and Grace (Bebe) Tunstill. He passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital on July 30, 2021. Prior to retirement, he worked at Ohio Rag Supply for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include two daughters, Fatina Tunstill Evans and Michell Brown; sister, Alice (Lorenzo Holt) Hart; nephews, Eugene (Kelly) Hart, Javus Hart and Trevor Hart; brother-in-law, Eugene Hart; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James Lamar Tunstill Evans; and nephew, Corey Elijah Hart.
