Memorial visitation for James J. Wieber, 63, of Millersport, will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 4-7 PM in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service. Due to COVID 19, face masks must be worn inside the funeral home at all times.
James passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 in Lancaster, following an extended illness. He was born in Columbus on December 8, 1957 the son of the late Jim and Dorothy (Townsend) Wieber. James was a skilled Auto Body repair man and operated his own custom car painting and repair business.
He was a huge NASCAR fan, and also a skilled bass guitar player, playing with many bands over the years, but most currently as a member of “Bushwhacked” He also enjoyed riding his Harley; and spending the last ten years of his life with the “best people” at the Lake.
He is survived by his daughter Bobbi Wieber of Columbus, his grandsons Leland and Maddox along with his sister Donna Schwab. His dear friend Stephen Eichhorn also survives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law Charlie Korbel and his beloved canine companion “Jax”.
The family prefers that memorial contributions in his memory be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
