Jamie Jo Guess

Jamie Jo Guess, age 41, of Newark, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Jamie was born May 22, 1981 in Columbus, Ohio.

Jamie Jo was a 1999 graduate of Nelsonville-York High School in Nelsonville. She was a homemaker and enjoyed four wheeling, camping, hiking, and coloring. She was musically talented and could play several instruments.

She is survived by three daughters, Sydney Johnson of Newark, Jacie McCoy of Athens, and Katelynn McCoy (Matthew Hicks) of Ashland, Kentucky; grandson, Ryder Johnson; her mother, Kimberly Kay (Hoover) Diemoz; brothers, Robert Patrick (Jenna) Guess of London, Ohio and Tommy Anderson Williams of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; grandparents, Arlo and Judy Hill of Heath; aunt, Rhonda (Robert) Scheidegger of Glenford; and her boyfriend, Nick Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph McCoy on August 16, 2019; her father, Jimmy Joe Guess; an aunt, Sherry Runyon; grandparents, Mary & Bob Guess; and longtime companion, Chad Thomas.

No visitation or service will be observed.
