Janet Darlene Anderson

Funeral Services, celebrating the life of Janet Darlene Anderson, 89, of Thornville, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2022 in the chapel of the Hebron home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Todd Garman as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jacksontown. The family will receive friends on Thursday from Noon until time of the funeral at 1:00 p.m. Jan passed away peacefully at her home early Monday, March 7, 2022 with her family at her side. She was born in Emporia, Kansas, on November 2, 1932, the daughter of the late Leon and Opal (Cramer) Smith. She loved to read, crochet and raise children. Her favorite times were spent with her loving family. She is survived by her family: husband Arthur, whom she married on August 27, 1950 and shared a 71-year marriage; her daughter Della Schmitt and her son Rodney Anderson; her 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
