Janice was born October 10, 1942 in Newark, Ohio to the late Walter Kenneth Eagle, Sr. and the late Grace Elizabeth (Milner) Eagle. She passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Mount Carmel East Hospital.

Janice’s career was marked by her roles at American Greetings and as a Longaberger Consultant, which she balanced with her dedication as a homemaker. Known for her generous spirit, Janice volunteered at the Newark Healthcare Centre for many years, spreading kindness and warmth to those in need.

A dedicated member of the Heath Christian Union Church, Janice poured her heart into preparing meals at the church. She had a talent for baking, and she took great joy in crafting delightful cookies, popcorn balls, and candy, especially during the Christmas season. Her tradition of "dessert before dinner" reflected her delightful personality and zest for life.

Janice’s creativity and love extended into the comforting art of sewing. With each stitch, she fashioned blankets for her children and grandchildren, leaving them with tangible tokens of her enduring love. Her legacy is carried forward by them, wrapped in the warmth of her careful handiwork. Janice will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, and her sweet nature, which will forever linger in the hearts she touched.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Albert Johnson, Jr., whom she married October 16, 1958; three daughters, Janice Marie MacNealy of Newark, Debra Sue (Merle) Walton of Utica, and Lucy (Brian) Bice of Dresden; thirteen grandchildren, Amanda (Shane) Spencer, Shawn (Kim) Ghiloni, Tiffany (Glen) Hacker, Krista (Andy) Paul, Noah MacNealy, Leah MacNealy (Xavier Smith), Kelly Walton, Denise (Drew) Petty, Michelle (Andy) Lane, Lisa Winland, Michael (Kaylene) Kirk, Tiffany (Dan) Combs, and Hanna Bice; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a brother, Kenneth (Sue) Eagle, Jr. of Newark; a sister, Lois Swonger of Mount Vernon; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Janet Ann Powell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
