Janit Apple

A memorial service celebrating the life of Janit Apple, age 79, of Hebron, will be held at Family of Faith Community Church, 975 Mt. Vernon Road, Newark, on Wednesday June, 24, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Leanne Goff as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. prior to the service. Inurnment will take place in Kirkersville Cemetery at a later date.Janit was born November 4, 1935 in Union, West Virginia to the late Charles and Nell (Moore) Bailey. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at her home.Janit was a long-time active member of Family of Faith Community Church in Newark. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Apple, whom she married June 30, 1972; six children, Teresa (Randy) Small of Newark, Diana (Eric) Gutridge of Heath, Debbie (Mike) Neff of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, Todd (Tonya Hunt) Helsel of Delbarton, West Virginia and Tim (Robin) Helsel of Somerset; Son-in-law Rick Wright of Plano, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Bailey, Jr. of Jesup, Ga. and Thomas Bailey of Utica; sisters, Roberta (Gil) Kokensparger of Heath and Phyllis Temple of Newark; many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Sherry Wright, and daughter-in-law Camile Helsel,. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio.
