Jason Nathanial Copper-Mccrary

Jason Nathanial Copper-McCrary, 19, of Newark, died Thursday, March 2, 2023, at OSU Wexner Medical Center. He was born February 3, 2004, in Chillicothe, OH to Rachel Marie Copper and Jason Antonio McCrary. Jason was devoted and very loyal to his family, he was caring and compassionate. He focused on reading and studying the different bibles and versus. Jason had a love for learning. He was always researching different topics of interest and learning as much as he could, he enjoyed sharing his findings with the family. He had an interest in anima, he collected the books and watched every episode of One Piece. He enjoyed building computers and listening to all types of different music, the Beatles was his favorite. He is survived by his mother, Rachel Marie Copper; stepfather, Aaron Cooper; stepmother, Angela Clemente; siblings, Malacki Cooper and Raquel Cooper; special cousins, Chloe Copper and Timmie Copper; maternal grandparents, Tim and Frances Copper; paternal grandmother, Portia L. McCrary; aunts, Sarah Copper and Althea L. McCrary; uncle, Nate and Andrea Copper; great uncle Steve and Jeanie copper; and second cousins, Ava Copper, Ahleah Rogers, and Kyler Copper. He was preceded in death by his father, Jason Antonio McCrary. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 8, 2023, from 6-7 pm at the Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville St., Newark, where the memorial service will follow at 7:00pm with Pastor Eric Miller officiating.
