Jean Dolores Winchell

A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date for Jean Dolores Winchell, 88, of Thornville.  She was born in Cardington, Ohio on September 1, 1930 to the late Herbert and Hazel (Russell) Campbell. She passed away on February 22, 2019 at Altercare of Thornville. Prior to retirement, she was a supervisor at the Newark Air Force Base for many years.  She was an avid reader, gardener and Ohio State Buckeye fan.  She enjoyed bird watching and loved spending time with her dog, Linus. Survivors include her children, Alan Winchell, Steven Winchell, Dana (Debra) Winchell, Bret Winchell and John Winchell; grandchildren, Aaron, Justin, Brittany, Steven, Kristin and Ryan; and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Winchell in 1991. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jean to the charity of your choice.
