Jeanette M. Shrock

A graveside inurnment service celebrating the life of Jeanette M. Shrock, age 84, of Newark, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13, at Newark Memorial Gardens with Pastor Rusty Foley officiating. Jeanette was born October 6, 1929 in Newark, Ohio to the late Russell Irwin and Eva E. (Adams) Irwin-Bidwell. She passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at her home.Jeanette retired from the Newark Telephone Company where she had been a telephone operator. She attended the Church of God and enjoyed ballroom dancing, singing and needlepoint.She is survived by a son, Donald Shrock of Newark; grandchildren, Allison Shrock of Columbus and Cathy Shrock of Rochester, New York; great-grandchildren, Owen Anders; brother-in-law, Ray E. (Jean) Shrock of Kansas City, MO; nephews, Steven Trager, Gary and Randy Shrock; Janice Sprague and Norma Gay Haught.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Shrock, Sr.; a son, David Shrock, Jr.; a sister, Alice Trager; and step-father, John Bidwell.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for the Shrock family.
