Jeanna Don (Paxton) Bellville

Jeanna Don (Paxton) Bellville, age 40, of Heath, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 27, 2020 at her home.

Jeanna was born July 12, 1979 in Newark, Ohio. She was a graduate of Marietta High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Ohio University in Athens. She was told, “Women don’t get a degree in that area”. Never tell Jeanna she can’t do something – because she would. She went on to receive a Master of Arts degree in Professional Development from Amberton University in Garland, Texas. Jeanna was employed by many government agencies but was most proud of her work for the military veterans while in Austin. She was formerly employed with the Coast Guard in Oregon, the IRS in Cincinnati, Homeland Security in Denton, Texas and most recently with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Austin, Texas for 8 years.

Jeanna was a kind and compassionate person and was always caring for the underdog. She loved music and was an excellent artist, songwriter, and musician, had a large vinyl record collection, and loved to dance in the rain. Jeanna loved to travel and had been to Europe, Mexico and Canada and was always ready with her passport. The greatest passion in her life was her girls and she was a wonderful, kind and gentle mother to them.

She is survived by her two daughters, Brooke Odessa and Brie Olivia Bellville; parents, Michael L. and Donna J. (Chapman) Paxton of Heath; brother, Lee (Suzanne) Paxton; sister, Dottie Paxton; paternal grandmother, Macille (Swartz) Paxton of Newark; maternal grandmother, Dorothy (Pound) Chapman of Newark; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and special friend, Matt, who was her hero.

She was preceded in death by grandfathers, Donald C. Paxton and Don M. Chapman.

A private family gathering will be held.
