Jeanne Marie Hooper, 72 of Newark, formerly of Hebron, passed away at her residence on October 14, 2024. She was born in Marietta, Ohio on November 2, 1951 to the late William and Teresa (Butcher) Frye. Prior to retirement, she was a cook with Pataskala Oaks for many years. She was a member of Impact City Church in Pataskala. Jeanne enjoyed cooking, traveling, reading Amish books, but most important was the time she spent with her loving family and friends, and helping others in need. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Allen R. Hooper, whom she married June 6, 1970; daughter, Peggy (William) McKinley; son, William Hooper; grandchildren, William A. “Mack” McKinley and Mary E. McKinley; sisters, Joyce Woodward, Vivian (James) Hooper and Debbie Jackson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Frye; and brothers-in-law, Ronald Woodward and Jim Jackson. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jeanne to Impact City Church, or to Hospice of Central Ohio. At Jeanne’s request, no services will be held.
