Jeannie M. Kennedy, age 87, Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the Pickering House.Jeannie was born October 5, 1925, in Logan, to the late Paul and Edith (Thrush) Potts. She was a teacher and principal at Forest Rose School, from where she retired in 1990. She was a life member of Phi Delta Kappa, Perry County Retired Teachers, OEA and NEA, Perry County Farm Bureau (where she served on many committees), Logan High School Hall of Fame and a member of South Shore Ministries.She is survived by her children: Dr. William (Nancy) Miller and Molly Miller, all of Lancaster, step-children Mark (Jane) Kennedy and Mike (Beth) Kennedy, all of Thornville and Mitchell (Becky) Kennedy of LaGrange, Kentucky; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces.Jeannie was preceded in death by her first husband: William G. Miller, 1983, and second husband G. Dewey Kennedy, Jr., 2008, parents Paul & Edith Potts, brother John Potts, daughter Marianne Miller and Step-father R.M. Eyman.Friends may call on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Funeral Services at 12 Noon at the Thornville home of The HOSKINSON-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 56 South Main St. in Thornville, with Pastor Doug Lynn officiating.
