Jeff R. Barncord

A funeral service celebrating the life of Jeff Richard Barncord, age 69, of Heath, will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Leon Brown officiating. Military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Friends may call from 5-6 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Jeff was born July 25, 1952 in Camp Pendleton, California to the late Charles Harry Barncord and the late Lois (Simpson) Barncord Wilson. He passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Licking Memorial Hospital.

Jeff was a veteran of the United States Army and faithfully served his country from September of 1969-March of 1972. Jeff worked for the railroad and later started a furniture restoration business called Bodeens. He was also a gunsmith. Jeff loved music and played in some local bands. He loved family time, especially with his three granddaughters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Anita (Henderson) Barncord, whom he married July 19, 1985; daughter, Jennifer (Azariah) Elson; granddaughters, Raeanna, Ryah and Harlynn; siblings, Sam, Joe, Beth and Lisa; and many nieces and nephews.
