Jeffrey D. Mcclain

Jeffrey D. McClain 56, of Thornville, died suddenly on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, in the ER at Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark. He was born in Newark on November 19, 1964, the son of the late Willard D. McClain, and Velma McClain who survives.

He was a graduate of Newark H.S. and Licking Co. Joint Vocational School, class of 1983, and had served honorably in the US Army.

A retired Maintenance Supervisor, he enjoyed tinkering and working on cars, as well as metal fabrication.  A family man, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his mother Velma McClain, he is survived by his wife Cindy Lou (Bailey) McClain, whom he married on December 16, 2009, his son Dusty (Tara) McClain and their children Micah, Josiah, and Leah; his sisters Trisha (Bruce) Frey and their children Madison and Hayden, along with Beth McClain; Step-daughter Heidi (Michael) Carpenter and their children Mikaela and Bailey.

Jeff shared the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. Memorial services will be held at a later date. His family would be grateful for memorial contributions in his memory to help defray final expenses. Please visit hoskinsonfuneral.com to contribute.
