Jerold "Jerry" Kent Pierce

Jerold Kent “Jerry” Pierce, 71, of Newark, died Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Center. He was born November 10, 1951, in Athens to the late Otis Franklin and Naomi Pearl (Shaner) Pierce. Jerry graduated from Licking Valley High School class of 1970. He enjoyed coaching little league football and loved farming. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carole; step children, Teresa Collins and Jeff (Jennifer) Collins; one granddaughter, six grandsons; great grandchildren; sister, Diana (Gary) Korbel; brother, Karl (Karen) Pierce; and several nieces and nephews. No funeral service will be held at this time. Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Jerry and his family.
