Jerry C. Belt

Jerry C. Belt, 65 of Newark, passed away at his residence on December 19, 2020 while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 9, 1955 to the late Bob J. and Barbara (Calvin) Belt. Prior to retirement, Jerry was a raw material planner and logistics technician with Dow Chemical for many years. He was a member of Amvets Post 51 in Buckeye Lake. Jerry was an avid golfer, was an Ohio State Buckeye fan, and enjoyed fishing and boating at Buckeye Lake. He was a conversationalist, never met and stranger and loved everyone he met. Survivors include his fiancé, Kathy Hill; children, Brandon (Amber) Belt, Stacey (Barry) Belt, Tyler (Victoria) Hill and Jamie (Scott) Hill; brothers, his twin, Terry (Ruth) Belt and Jack (Pat) Belt; grandchildren, Alexis, Taylor, Hadyn, River and one on the way; nephews, Troy Belt, Shawn Johnston, Todd Belt, Kevin Belt, and Chad Belt; and numerous cousins, neighbors and friends. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jerry to Absolute Hospice, 7171 Keck Park Circle NW, North Canton, Ohio 44720. Private services will be held for the family at later date.
