Jerry Carl Dollison, Sr.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Jerry Carl Dollison, Sr., age 78, of Millersport, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, at the Thornville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Chaplain Mike Reynolds officiating. Burial will take place in Millersport Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home, 56 South Main Street in Thornville. Jerry was born May 14, 1939 in Circleville, Ohio to the late Charles and Blanche (Linton) Dollison. He passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). Jerry was retired and had worked in construction. He enjoyed crocheting, duck hunting and fishing and was a member of the Millersport VFW Post 1388 and the Buckeye Lake Eagles #2801. He is survived by his sons, Jerry (Sue) Dollison, Jr. of Marengo and Marvin Dale Dollison of Bokeelia, Florida; grandchildren, Ivan Dollison and Christal Conley; several great-grandchildren; best friend, Kathy Dollison of Reynoldsburg; sisters, Jennie Chrysler, Judy West and Anna Ford; brothers, Bobby, Eddie, Melvin and Wayne Robinson and Randy and Ken Dollison; many nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Kay (Huey) Dollison, who passed away on February 4, 2002; two brothers, Ralph Robinson and Donnie Dollison; and a sister, Barb Parrott.
