Jerry E. Gould

A funeral service celebrating the life of Jerry E. Gould, age 77, of Newark, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Jerry was born December 12, 1944 in Parkersburg, West Virginia. He passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio).

Jerry retired from Rockwell International/Arvin Meritor. He enjoyed playing cornhole, horseshoes, pool, and cards. An avid OSU Buckeyes fan, he also enjoyed camping, fishing, and going to all of his kids and grandkids games. He loved spending time with his granddaughters.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia A. “Patty” (Williams) Gould; son, Dusty Gould of Newark; daughter, Melynda (Jason) Osborne of Bonita Springs, Florida; grandchildren, Siera Osborne and Serenity Osborne; brothers, Terry Gould of Newark and Dave Taylor of Massillon; sisters, Pat Riffle and Sandra (Harry) Arter, all of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Etta (Lambert) Taylor and his step-father, Carl Taylor.
