Jerry L. Nethers

Jerry Lee Nethers, 75, of Thornville, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville. He was born on December 29, 1937, in Newark, to the late Allen Eugene and Eliza Jane (York) Nethers. He was the owner of Nethers Construction and also retired from Shelly Co.. Jerry was a member of the Buckeye Lake Moose, National Street Rods Association and Good Guys. He loved both building and driving street rods.Jerry is survived by his loving family: wife Mary (Grumm) Nethers; children Dick (Debbie Goodrich) Nethers and Kim (Steve) Dornon; grandchildren Sara Nethers and Katie Nethers; brother Floyd (Jackie) Nethers; and sister Carol (Bill) Byers.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Richard Nethers.A funeral service, celebrating Jerrys life, will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Thornville home of Hoskinson-Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 South Main Street with Pastor Scott Murphy officiating.Burial will follow at Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville.Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday, February 7, 2013, from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm.In honor of Jerrys parents, memorials may be made to Perry County Cancer Alliance, P O Box 724, New Lexington, OH 43764.Online condolences may be sent to www.hoskinsonfuneral.comHoskinson-Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service, Thornville, is honored to care for the Nethers Family.
