Jimmie P. Amrine, 80, of Thurston, OH, passed away on March 12th 2025, surrounded by family. A dedicated Reynoldsburg Police officer and skilled electronics technician, he served his community with integrity. He was deeply involved in the Boy Scouts, mentoring young minds, and had a lifelong passion for camping, fishing, and astronomy.
Above all, he loved his family—his wife, children, and grandchildren—who will forever cherish his warmth, wisdom, and devotion.
He is survived by his wife Sheila (Driggs) Amrine of Thurston; sister Linda (Rick) Williams of Blacklick; sister in law Susan Amrine of Lancaster; daughter Michele Amrine of Newark; son Paul (Megan) Amrine of Cleveland; daughter Ann (Jack) Wagstaff of Trochu, Alberta; and grandchildren Sabre, Isabel, KC, Blake, Brody, Riley, and Mya.
He is preceded in death by his parents Henry Glen Amrine, and Ruth (Smith) Amrine of Columbus; and brother Don Amrine of Lancaster.
A service will be held on March 18th at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church of Carroll, 51 Park St. Carroll, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America (https://donations.scouting.org). His legacy of service, curiosity, and love will live on.
