Jimmy Allen Wright

Jimmy Allen Wright, age 84, of Newark, passed away Sunday, June 4th at his home. Jim was born in Robinson, Illinois on April 23, 1939. He graduated from Newark High School in 1957 with his grade school sweetheart Connie M. (Myers) Wright. They were married June 23, 1969. Jim retired from Owens Corning. He was an avid car enthusiast and collector and enjoyed various groups like “The Newark Vibrators” for many years. Jim is survived by his wife, Connie M. and 5 daughters and 1 son in death. Combined they had 7 children, Christine (Brad) Jones, Connie S Wright, Tamara (Rick) Schmitt, Catherine (Brad) Byrd, Louanne (Scott) Dorne, Jimmy (Cindy) Wright, Linnette (Fred) Clark. They shared nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Patty Ronan; sister-in-law, Hilda Wright; brother-in-law, Chuck Gregg; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents Russell and Merle Wright; daughter, Louanne Dorne; brother, Jack Wright, and his wife, Pat; sister, Jean Gregg; brother, Bill Wright; sister, Dottie Thompson; brother-in-law, Jim Ronan; and step-sister, Beth Couch. At Jimmy’s request, no services will be held. Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Jimmy and his family.
