Joann E. Lawson

    Joann E. Lawson, 85, of Hebron, passed away on December 7, 2018 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio.  She was born in Piketon, Ohio on September 13, 1933 to the late Weldon and Alma (Brown) Adams. Visitation will be held at the Kirkersville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 E. Main Street, Kirkersville, on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Prior to retirement, Joann was a school bus driver for the Southwest Licking School District, and she was a devoted homemaker to her family.  She enjoyed cooking and was an avid fisherman. Survivors include her loving son, Dana (Kathy) Lawson; grandchildren, Kierra, Chad, Cade, Tonya and Adam; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Lawson; sons, Brian and Bert Lawson; sisters, Judy Rush and Wanda Bucy; and brothers, Ray and Wetzal Adams. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Joann to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
