Joanne Berney, 82, of Millersport, passed away suddenly at her home on October 15, 2014. She was born September 9, 1932 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Busick) Vanoy. She was a graduate of Columbus Central H.S., class of 1949. She was a hard worker, and owned the Pinkie Bar at Buckeye Lake as well as the Beanpot restaurant for many years. She also worked as an apartment manager for Cardinal and as the receptionist at the Down Under hair salon in Pickerington. She attended the Heath Church of Christ, and was a proud member of the Central H.S. Alumni association, as wel as a former member of the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club auxillary. She is survived by her loving family: daughter Patricia Roberts of Thornville, grandchildren Elizabeth (Brent Kipp) Roberts, Joseph (Kayla) Roberts and Tessa Young, along with her 5 great grandchildren, and loving friends and neighbors at Buckeye Lake. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three husbands: Richard Colby, Don Downey and Robert Berney, and her daughter Mary Young.
