John Lester Boggess

John Lester Boggess, 87, of Granville, passed away May 1, 2023. He was born February 14, 1936, in Ohio, the son of the late Harland and Rose (Bright) Boggess. John served honorably in the US Army Reserves and was employed by Lucent Technology until his retirement. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. He enjoyed the Dallas Cowboys, OSU Buckeyes, St. Louis Cardinals, golf, and bowling.

He is survived by his loving wife Eileen Boggess, his sons John (Lisa) Boggess Jr. and Jeffery Daugherty, his granddaughters Bridget Knisley, Megan Daugherty, and Meghan Boggess, his grandsons Seth and Nicholas Boggess, and Great Granddaughter Lennon Knisley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother James Boggess.

Graveside Services will be held at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Columbus on Monday, May 8th at 10AM. The family wishes to thank Highbanks Care Center.
