A funeral service, celebrating the life of John C. Nichols, Jr., 69, of Johnstown, will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Bennington Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.John was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on May 26, 1945 to the late John and Bessie (Wilkinson) Nichols. He passed away at his residence on April 13, 2015.Prior to retirement, John owned and operated Nichols Tree Service for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends.Survivors include his wife, Ellenia Walton of Johnstown; two sons, Galen Nichols of Johnstown and Troy (Tonya) Orahood of Johnstown; two brothers, Carlton (Darlene) Nichols and Bill (Michelle) Nichols; two sisters, Linda (Jody) Maze and Carolann (Ron) Popp; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Daryl Nichols.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for the Nichols family.
