John David Johnson

John David Johnson, age 72, of Heath, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Licking Memorial Hospital. John was born August 1, 1946 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Harry Arthur “Tude” Johnson and the late Hazel Marguerite (Rutter) Cochran.

John worked in maintenance for Ramp Creek Community and Sales. He enjoyed fishing, shooting, going to the casino and loved being surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Debbie (McGee) Johnson, whom he married March 19, 1979; and by five children, John (Chrissie) Johnson II of Port Richey, Florida, Tamara Craig of Newark, Sherry (David) Day of Thornport, Billie (A.J.) Johnson of Columbus and Andrea (Eric) Stephenson of Newark; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Dale Johnson of Newark; sister, Judith Prince of Hebron; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Paul Kidwell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Kenneth and Jim Johnson; and sisters, Lynda Davenport, Virginia Miller and Marcella Dickinson.
