John J. Jack Brenner, 94, of Thornville, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Pickering House in Lancaster. He was born on October 27, 1920 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late John and Ann (Bibby) Brenner. A Catholic by faith, Jack was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Buckeye Lake. An Army veteran, he served his country during WWII. He was a member of the Buckeye Lake V.F.W. He enjoyed listening to music, planting trees, and spending time with his family. He was a kind and gentle man. He is survived by his loving family: wife of 66 years, Ann Rita (Spung) Brenner; two sons and two daughters, Linda Fisher, Lois (Tim) Merrill, Thomas (Barb) Brenner, and John (Candy) Brenner; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters. A memorial service celebrating Jacks life will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Our Lady of Sorrow chapel at Saint Josephs Cemetery, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, OH 43137 with Father Michael Nimocks celebrating.
